MAHLE Componentes de Motores, S.A., was founded in 1990 as Cofapeuropa and joined the MAHLE Group in 2007.

MAHLE Portugal focuses on the manufacture of piston rings and supplies the main European brands of passenger, commercial and high competition vehicles.

challenge

One of the key factors for MALHE’s success is its more than 600 highly qualified workers and, therefore, working on their motivation is fundamental for the company. It was in this sense that MAHLE challenged BOOMER to develop the graphic identity of the SOMOS MALHE campaign, an internal initiative that aimed to involve workers and reinforce the feeling of belonging.

CONCEPT

Taking the idea of “belonging” as its motto, the project’s graphic identity was created with inspiration from the idea of tangram, a traditional Chinese puzzle.

The SOMOS MAHLE logo was created with 7 simple geometric shapes, which later unfold into the iconography of the program’s various areas of activity.

In parallel with the campaign’s internal promotional materials, a corporate video was also created with testimonies from employees from the company’s different sectors of activity.
